Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to many classical music and traditional boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as all forms of dramatic performance. Ana began to learn how to play the piano and sing from an early age, along alongside her mother. She was given more formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. As a student and being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups as well as choruses. After 2000, she emigrated back to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She's a regular solo performer for private events and parties and performs classical Latin American Music. The love she has for performing, music, and the arts keeps her involved in local activities both as an artist and teacher. Ana is also a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically for the young generation in keeping the music in the present.
