MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer is an important player within his part of the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won a Colombian Kids Choice Award as the most popular Song in 2017. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album reached number 8 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He was a part of the team together with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He next year, released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021 he recorded the duet to TINI's smash single Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, featuring the hit single La Bachata. Turizo was brought up within a musical family, since both his mom and older brother are professional musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music is a must. As a child, he was instructed to perform on the guitar, piano and ukulele. Though his original career plan was becoming an animal veterinarian His brother Julian advised him to begin learning to sing with a Cuban. It transformed his life forever.
